Bowcaster - Is it really that crappy?

Post by hatter77 on Fri Oct 01, 2010 2:08 pm

So, I have been using the weapon a lot lately and everyone lol's at me whenever I kill them with it, or says I got lucky.

My question:
Is it really that bad?

It's not so bad. It's a decent weapon if you have less than 100 ping and can time the shot JUST right... and if you aim for the head.

Yeah, that and the pistol are kickass, but only if you can master them.

If I had to say, I would only use the Bowcaster for close-range fighting. If you shoot/blast an enemy when he's coming at you or right in front, and then quickly melee him with the Bowcatser, that normally takes 'em out.

Unless you miss or time it wrong.

We need some input from the Bowcaster Master himself. Especially if he wants to 1v1 Fox in a "Pistol vs Bowcaster" Match.

nah fox would totally win he is amazing with the pistol. just like deviss said before the bowcaster is great in close range if you can time the melee right. if you use charge shots and your aim is head range its a kill no matter how far so it takes the most skill to master and most people will think you either hack or get lucky. just use a normal shot and melee for close or a charged and then normal for medium range.

Now, is that fully charging it or just three shots? I read somewhere it only took three shots to do that.

I think back when I did use the Bowcaster, when I got a kill, that Player would be like "cheater" and if I responded, it'd be just "lol" Razz

fully charging it takes 3 shots, it takes 4 normal shots or 1 charged and 1 normal.
3 normals if its 1 head and 2 chest shots.

Back to the topic everyone... Wink
NO the bowie is NOT noob by ANY means. It needs the most skill, and it also has the best melee, (longest range and most damage), And you need one normal shot and a melee for a kill. Usually.
Just in case, use a charged one.
Tip: Charge it and switch weapons while holding the charge. When you switch back, it will stay charged without needing the button to be pressed. Especially useful to prevent accidents Smile
