Post by Hawk Tue Aug 16, 2011 12:37 pm

Hey!! I wanted to post a few Art works that I have created/enhanced. I have begun to work and figure stuff out. Coming this September 21st...I will be in my Digital Graphics and Media Design program. I know that these are nothing compare to the rest of everyones...but here are my "rough" (emphasis on the rough) beginnings.

Hahahhaa I am always dark Den. LOL and Durza!! It's not that bad!

Z-man! I hand drew that ...scanned in thru putter and then put effects to it....though that sketch didn't come out of my head...I found it and sketched it from looking....I think mine looks a whole lot worse than how the original artist sketched there's....but I did add my own style into it Razz

Your art is good, the hand drawn stuff that is. The other stuff, is, well, like the title says beginner. With some practice, you can get a lot better. It seems like I always see someone's first work some like a picture with text over it, usually something like red or blue cursive font. I think people should get a lot more generous with the stuff they put over a signature when they are starting out, just to get the feel for things. Keep that in mind as you progress.

Great free-hand work. Keep that up. Also, see if you can buy a wacom sketchpad for your computer. The bigger ones are kinda pricey, but someone with your considerable free-hand talent should get into digital sketchpads. They've also started to come out with padless sketchpens, too. Something to keep in mind, anyway.

Very talented. Be sure to sketch every day, and don't limit yourself, take a small pad out and do life sketches in the park, the coffee shop, etc.

Your wish is my command. Wacom and other manufacturers make tablets and pens in all sizes and price ranges. Here are a couple from Amazon.

http://www.amazon.com/Wacom-Intuos3-8-Inch-Pen-Tablet/dp/B00030097G/ref=sr_1_3?ie=UTF8&qid=1313659543&sr=8-3

Wacom Intuos3 6 x 8-Inch Pen Tablet

Wacom KP701E2 Intuos4 Art Pen with Stand

I know more about the tablets than the pens, having seen the tablets in action with the woman who ran the graphics department (hell, she was the graphics department) at a small magazine. The pens are a more recent development.
