The CCP Chronicles
So I've had this idea in the back of my head for a good two months now. With my getting interested in writing more and more, I've wanted to write a Story, or series of Stories, about CCP.
What I was thinking was to have it set in the Star Wars Universe, during the Clone Wars. Somewhat aligning with the RC Books. I'll probably throw in mentions of Delta and Omega Squad, Cameos, and a bunch of other goodies.
Therefore, I'll be including every Member I can. I may delve back into our history and grab some of the Senior Members, those who have since left CCP. And I'll most assuredly include the newer/newest Members. If I get started soon enough, and the current Apps are still open, I'll include those and fiddle with 'em.
Despite this being an Announcement-type Thread, feel free to Post if you'd like to be in the Story.

Re: The CCP Chronicles
I tried something like this a long time ago. That Beta Squad thing of mine. It's still lying around here someplace. Feel free to lift anything out of it if you want.

Sounds cool Dev, can't wait to see the outcome. I'd like to be in if you don't have limited character spots.

'Course not. It wouldn't work very well if I did.

Re: The CCP Chronicles
I'll try and get it started in the next day or two. With the 4th o' July nearly here, I've got some shindigs to prepare for and some important people to meet.
When I have something, I'll Post it up either in this Thread or make a new one.
Oh, those Members who've already Posted, spread the word of this if you wouldn't mind. I'd like to get as many Members' input/Posts on this as I can.

Re: The CCP Chronicles
So are you going to make it like each of our squads in CCP is a commando squad in the story?

Re: The CCP Chronicles
That was the general idea, though with the number of people in each Squad, I might either split 'em up into two. Or just use the regularly active Members from those Squads.
Dunno for sure yet. That's one of the many aspects of this that are still hazy.

Re: The CCP Chronicles
I'm sure some of the story will come to you once you start writing. That's how it is for many authors. Great initiative on the project Dev.

Deviss wrote:Thorough... that's good. But I will say up front that I'll put my own spin on every Character. Basically how I see that Character and such.
Sounds good, I will leave you up to creative freedom (Being a creative person, I hate when people try to tell me what to do )
Deviss wrote:However I would have liked all this in the "CCP Chronicles" Thread
Whoops, thought you wanted it in the Alpha spot
Parker is a man that has seen his fair share of battles. He was the Squad Leader in Sierra Squad. Against all programed traits, he started to feel an intense devotion to everyone around him. This included the very people whom his squad faced with executing. The only reason why he was not deactivated was that he possesses invaluable skills in psychology and understand sentient-being emotions. Unfortunately for his squad, this meant they were relocated to Coruscant for round-the-clock hostage rescue. While Parker was not saving civilians he became an expert in CQC and Urban Warfare.
After a particularly bloody spree killing in a republic embassy. Sierra squad was called in to aid Oscar squad, who was already on the scene. After negotiations had failed it was decided that Sierra would enter the building from the roof, Oscar from the basement. As they propelled down his rappel system would jam taking precious seconds. As he was suspended the rest of his team successful entered through the north windows. Where the subject had planted anti-personal mines. By the time Parker would get down to see what happened his team lay in ruin and Oscar had already neutralized the subjects.
Three weeks later when Parker was once again allowed to participate in active duty he would see an opening in CCP's Alpha Squad. He applied for the position at the ground level. Eventually he would be the second in command, under Denjie. Currently Parker's position is command of all of Alpha's non-commando personal. This is specifically the security clones as well as spies in Alpha's side of things.
He feels intense devotion to his security teams. He models the code of conduct on his own ideals and while Denjie has final say in the operational aspects of the team, he differs to me in many cases. My ultimate goal is to protect Denjie, followed by the rest of Alphas members. This is why I often has my team go less lethal, as opposed to shooting for take downs. I don't consider an operation to be truly successful unless no shots are fired. I try to negotiate with the subjects in every case. However, within the military base he knows that the vast majority of the team firing will occur, the military mind is different from the criminals.
Here are my weapons, explosives, equipment, and attire.
Primary Weapons:
A Custom DC-17 Blaster. The stock has springs in the back to off-set the recoil, the clip ejects automatically when empty, there is a scope on the top as well as a tactical light near the opening in the barrel. This DC-17 has also been modified to have a more sub-machine gun approach than assault rifle. It also has an interchangeable full, semi, or single shot firing mode.
A Trandoshion shotgun. The scope lines up perfectly with the target, it is sawed off for popping around corners, fully automatic or single shot modes, and spring-loaded stock like my DC-17. I can use it for door breaches, CQC, or rear guard.
Secondary Weapons:
- A custom made DC-15 side arm with a built-in silencer on the end as well as a tactical light on the bottom of the barrel. This is kept in one my left thigh in a holster.
- A taser that is released from my gauntlets, that is used as a less lethal option.
- A standard tactical vibro blades, however, removed from my gauntlets to allow the taser. Instead I have two attached via a holster on my right thigh (opposite of my DC-15) and one upper arm holster.
- One garrote to a slot on my forearm.
Explosives:
- Ten flashbangs
- Five thermal detonators
- Five emps
- Five "sticky" grenades
- One detonation pack (The rear guard on the squad is always the demolition man as well, but I make every member of my squads prepare for the worst)
Equipment:
- Vision (Fiber-optic
- camera and binoculars)
- Restraints (Mostly zip cuffs, however, two pairs of hand/ancle cuffs)
- Life saving tools (aqua filters, basic medical kit, and bacta sprays)
- Rappelling equipment (ropes, harness, and clips)
- Large, multipurpose pocket knife
Attire:
The standard Katarn-Class battle armor, but in the night-ops color. The other main difference in my main armor is that I have made it very symbolic. I have GAR symbols on it, my squad symbol, my rank stripes, and lastly, a large tag on my back between my shoulder blades that says PARKER. This armor is reminiscent of my inner-city police work days, where I would represent the tactical police work the GAR employs.

Re: The CCP Chronicles
well if we aren't just doing like republic clones,
Species preference: Zabrak
What you want the Character to be (Smuggler, Commando, etc): Mercenary with saber wielding if at all possible, no force powers though
Planet of Origin: w/e the Zabrack homeworld is.
If saber wielding id have dual sabers not a double saber, if not saber wielding then just Merc/bounty hunter stuff, jetpack if u could please , lots of gadgets and a large arsenal of various weapons from different worlds and species and feel free to put w/e spin u want on it
