Hitman: Blood Money
I'm standing in the bathroom waiting for the waiter to come in. Common man, you must need to take a piss sometime. Finally he comes in, and I step out from behind the door and stab him in the neck with a sedative syringe. As he drops the door swings shut behind him, and I take his uniform. I start to drag him over to a freezer to hide him, but about halfway there a security guard walks in. He draws his gun and I draw my two guns, and get off 6 rounds(two each time I fire) into his chest and 2 in his head. I aim at the door waiting to see if anyone noticed. Nothing. So I drag the waiter over and put it into a freezer, then I do the same for the guard. After that I poison a cake, bring it down to the target and stroll off. Or at least Agent 47 from Hitman: Blood Money does.

I really enjoyed the gameplay of Hitman, with it's multiple ways to complete missions and it's satisfying combat. It is a 1st or 3rd person game, that can range anywhere from stealth to FPS. Each mission you pick out which weapons you want, and you can upgrade them with silencers and the like. At the end you get a rating thingy such as "Silent Assassin" for when you completed the mission without killing anyone besides the target, not getting recorder on camera, or having you cover blown or a body found. And then there is "Butcher" for when you killed a lot of people besides your target(s). As I said, I really like how there are different ways to do each level. To infiltrate you can kill a guard or waiter and take their uniform, but usually that will not get you into the restricted areas so you have to get another uniform that is for an elite guard and so on. Or you can sneak in through a window and avoid everyone. Or you can simply walk through the front door with an assault rifle and mow everyone down. The kill the target you can snipe them, you can strangle them with fiber wire, you can kill them with a poison needle, you can poison their food, the possibilities are great. If your cover is blown you can still continue on even thought he guards will attack you and the target might run.
Story
You play as Agent 47, an elite assassin for some assassination company(do they put out help wanted signs I wonder?) and you have to(surprise surprise) go around and assassinate people. Of course there is some amount of plot(a pretty good one) especially at the end, however I don't want to ruin it, so I'll keep mostly silent on the story.
Combat
I enjoyed the combat even if it was not the most original in the world, but anyway since this is a(if you want it to be) stealth game, so I spent most of the time avoiding conflict, but of course you can't play the whole game without fighting so when you do have to it's well designed and while the enemies go down fairly easily, your health does not regenerate at all during the level, so it can become a bit difficult if you are shooting your way through. As I said up the way ^ I enjoyed the different ways of assassinating the target, from explosives in the elevator or climbing through the elevator hatch and reaching down and pulling them up with the fiber wire, to poisoned food and sniping.
Conclusion.
As you may have noticed I really liked this game and after I played it, it is one of the few games that I think will have great replay value. So I'm giving this game 4 stars(5 is reserved for things like Skyrim) ★★★★. At the moment it is on sale from Amazon for only 5 bucks(down from 20), so that is definitely worth it. Here it is if you are interested.

Re: Hitman: Blood Money
The Hitman series is up to three games now. Plus that movie (which was less than impressive, but much better than the Max Payne movie). Good games, played them back when they came out. Steam has them, either as a collection for $25 or $10 each.
Thanks for the review, Zeb.

Re: Hitman: Blood Money
No problem frang. And I thought there were 4 Hitman games. Codename 47, Silent Assassin, Contracts, and Blood Money. And there's a new one coming out. That's what Wikipedia says anyway.

Re: Hitman: Blood Money
Things change. Last time I was into Hitman, there were only three games. Glad to see that the sub-par movie hasn't killed the franchise. I wonder why the fourth game didn't show up on Steam?

Re: Hitman: Blood Money
Dunno. Maybe it got low ratings or something? Or is it the older one that isn't on Steam?
