Welcome to the Clone Commando Pod Rulebook.
The following are the rules of the CCP Community.
Read them. Take them to heart. They will be enforced.

GENERAL FORUM RULES

Threads: Before making a new Thread, check to be sure there is not already a similar Topic active, and make sure you are posting in the right board. If a similar Topic exists, but is dead – i.e. it has been more than a month since the last post, and the Thread is not stickied – then you may create a new Thread. A general rule to follow is that a Thread’s first post needs to clearly state what the Thread is about.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, and removal of Forum privileges upon repeat offenses.

  • Addendum: Staff will delete any topic dealing with personal conflict issues between members. The poster will be advised to seek counsel with a staff member. All members are encouraged to approach staff with any personal conflicts. Staff will, only if necessary, post a topic discussing the issue - but only if absolutely necessary. The preferred method of dealing with personal conflicts is to handle them on a personal, private basis. There has been too much drama in the clan lately. This will prevent it or at least tamp it down.

Posts Within Threads: Firstly, no Spamming. Double posts are one thing, but repeated lines of posts, especially those that do not contribute to the Topic at hand, will be deleted. Also, no posts consisting of only smilies. There is a ten emoticon limit per post on this forum, any posts with more than ten, will be deleted. Finally, make sure you post is on-Topic. Too many off-Topic posts will be deleted. Having fun is fine, but cluttering up a thread with three pages of nonsense is not acceptable.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, and removal of Forum privileges upon repeat offenses.

Post Content: There will be absolutely no racist or sexist remarks made about anyone on these Forums. Behavior such as this is highly unacceptable and will be deleted. There are to be no pornographic references or pictures in posts. CCP will not tolerate these rules being broken.

Failure to comply will result in a written warning from the Staff, and expulsion from the Clan upon repeat offenses.

Advertising: There will be no free advertising allowed on the CCP Forum. We are not your billboard. This is a gaming Clan, not an advertising center. If you wish to advertise, PM a Staff Member and they will consider your request. Advertisements posted without staff permission will be deleted.

Failure to comply will result in a written warning from Staff, and removal of Forum privileges upon repeat offenses.

Post Length: Prevent spam. Remember that your post should contribute to the discussion at hand. One word or just an emoticon is not acceptable and will be deleted if the Staff considers it to be spam. There is no maximum post length, but please, be conservative. Not everyone likes to read books, after all.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, and removal of Forum privileges upon repeat offenses.

Grammar: Please use your best grammar and punctuation. Good grammar will be determined by Staff, and the user warned if they are using bad grammar. Excessive use of “leet speak” will be deleted

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, and removal of Forum privileges upon repeat offenses.

Harassment: If ANYONE posts abusive or harassing content about another member, they will receive a disciplinary ban. Bam. Just like that. No Forum access for at least a week. If you receive a Private Message that contains harassing or abusive content, notify the Staff and the problem will be dealt with.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in a disciplinary ban, and expulsion from the Clan upon repeat offenses.

COMMUNITY RULES
The Clone Commando Pod is a Community where attitude is more important than skill. Following that premise, here is the code of conduct that all members and applicants will be expected to adhere to.

Behavior: The Clone Commando Pod was founded and has thrived on its policy of “Good Fellowship” and “Family Friendly Behavior”. We have long aspired to a higher standard than most gaming Communities, and have endeavored to treat our Members as a Brotherhood or Family rather than just a ragtag bunch of gamers. Please adhere to the following guidelines:

WE DO NOT

  • Bash other Players or Groups.
  • Involve ourselves in Group VS Group arguments or “wars”.
  • Shoot down others’ suggestion when they are trying to be helpful.
  • Break Forum or Community rules.
  • Post gripes or arguments in the C-box.
  • Ignore Staff.
  • Make racist, sexist, or foul remarks about ANYONE. CCP or otherwise.
  • Flame.
  • Recruit on other Groups’ servers without permission.
  • Act like we are better or above anyone else.

WE DO

  • Give assistance to those who need it.
  • Remain true to CCP’s moral code
  • Tell Staff of our worries, suggestion or complaints.
  • Trust our Members as family.
  • Hold ourselves to a HIGHER standard than those around us.
  • Swiftly report troublemakers to the Staff.
  • Behave ourselves on the Forum
  • Behave ourselves on other Clans’ forums
  • Behave ourselves in-game
  • Act honorably in Scrims, and accept losses in a sportsman-like manner
  • HAVE FUN AND PLAY RC FOR WHAT IT IS, A GAME!

Failure to follow these Rules will result in written warnings from the Staff, and removal from the Clan upon repeat offenses.

Applications: Just because we activated your account on the Forums, does NOT mean you are a CCP Member. Therefore you will NOT wear CCP Tags with any rank other than {APP}. If you have problems getting your tags set up, ask a CCP Member for assistance. You MUST post an Application before you can wear any Tags. If we see you wearing any rank other than {APP} before your Application is accepted, you will receive one warning before your app is closed and denied.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, and denial of your Application upon repeat offenses.

Resigning: If a Member has issues in their outside lives and are unable to handle the requirements of being in CCP, or due to some other extenuating circumstance(s), resigns and leaves CCP on peaceful terms, they will be allowed limited Forum permissions and possible re-admittance at a later date. Whether a former Member may re-apply is left to Staff’s discretion.

  • Addendum: Resignation topics are banned except at the approval of a staff member. If a member wishes to resign, he can notify a staff member by pm, email, or xfire. The staff member will post a simple announcement of the resignation, with no comment allowed. The staff member, if he or she judges it appropriate, can include a short explanation of the resignation. If the circumstances of the resignation warrant it (life circumstances prevent participation and inactive status or a loa is not practical), the member can post a topic to say goodbye. Under no circumstances is a member allowed to post a resignation topic because "he's bored" or "I'm joining another clan" or "I'm dissatisfied" or for any other reason beside the one stated above. A simple announcement will be made that the member is no longer part of the clan. This is done to further reduce drama.

Banning / The “No Revolving Door” Policy : Any Member who is banned or causes too much disruption and is expelled from the Clan, by a unanimous vote from Staff, will not be permitted to re-apply. Ever. Such ex-Members will have Forum permission severely reduced.

Multi-clanning : CCP Members are permitted to participate in Clans for games other than Star Wars Republic Commando. Even if the other clan has an RC Division, you are permitted to join said Clan, so long as CCP remains your one and only Republic Commando Clan. If you are worried you may be in violation of this Rule, please consult a Staff member immediately.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in expulsion from the Clan.

Noobs, Tags And Aliases : Proudly wear your Tags in Scrims or Servers you or CCP may participate in. Do not noob while wearing CCP Tags. If you use an alias to “noob” or vent, we won’t hunt you down and try to catch you with your Tags off, but we don’t want to hear about it either. Your CCP persona, and your “vent-alias” are to be treated as two different people, and the two should never meet. If we do find you behaving in an inappropriate manner that reflects upon CCP, either by wearing Tags while noobing, or revealing your identity when under an alias that has been noobing the match, disciplinary action will be taken. Do not wear other Clans’ Tags or impersonate other Players.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, and removal from the Clan upon repeat offenses.

Swearing on The Forums And In-Game : If CCP were an 18 Only Clan, there would be no gripe. But we’re not. There are many Members who may be on a razor’s edge with their parents over internet gaming, if they see a post full swear words one time, then that Member will disappear. We don’t want to cause our fellow CCP's such grief, do we? Abusive Language gets in the way of fun. Exercise restraint if for no other reason than this. We have many younger and/or female Members who come through here, some of whom have mentioned that the reason they joined was because CCP didn’t behave as many other Clans when it came to Attitude and Language. We are CCP. We have standards to our behavior, and that covers foul language too. It’s been a long standing Rule to keep the Forums as clean and friendly as possible. We want everyone to feel comfortable here, without worrying what they may read on the next page.

This Rule also counts for in-game behavior. Keep your tongue in check. Foul-mouthing does nothing but detract from the fun.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, a disciplinary ban upon a second offense, and expulsion upon a third.

Chat Box Rules : Do not spam. Spammers will be given warnings, and a disciplinary ban if they cannot control themselves. More than 5 messages in a row is considered spam. Do not post in the C-box under an inappropriate / foul name, or as another user. Keep your C-box name as close to your forum / in game name as possible.

Failure to follow this Rule will result in written warnings from the Staff, and removal of forum privileges upon repeat offenses.

The Staff retains the right to give alternate means of punishment to any of the above as they see fit. In a nutshell, if you behave like too much of a dick, you’ll probably find yourself banned for a week instead of getting a warning.

Rules Of Promotions
Please do not request Promotions. Any Posts requesting Promotions will be Locked or Deleted. Promotions are given at the discretion of Staff.

Members will be recommended for Promotion to the Staff, by their Squad Leader or by another Staff Member. Squad Leaders will be Promoted at the Staff’s discretion. The whole of the Staff will Vote on Promotions, and if enough feel the Member deserves a Promotion, the Member will be informed and his / her rank will be updated.

Members are eligible for Promotion once every thirty days. Requirements and eligibility for Promotions are decided by the Staff.
