Dodge a LOT. A good way to get behind your opponent is to point your shoulder right next to them and dodge past them.

Yep, that and jump a lot, that's usually what I do, since it's rare that I crouch...which gets me in trouble wit da kid...

Well other than dodging, which Fox brought up a good point, about the "shoulder to your foe & dodge behind 'em", try & focus on their head/faceplate for Commandos.

That and don't blast all your shots at once, shoot like two or three times, dodge and repeat. If you're lucky enough to dodge behind them & they're not fully turned around, try crackin' 'em in the back of the head with the pistol handle.

I jump, dodge, crouch, and move, move, move! Circle your opponent if you can. Don't try to out-gun him, since most guys won't engage in a pistol duel with you. Come at them from the side or back. When aiming at the face, target the place where the vertical and horizontal bars meet, where the T forms. I also fire in bursts, three, four rounds, then wait a sec, fire again. Aim for the head. Bored and I get into pistol duels all the time. Say something when you catch either of us in game.

I really hate Fox when he pwns me with the pistol. I guess he is one of the good guys with it, so u can learn a lot from him.
We shoulkd make sometime a internal match with only pistols...

lol Great minds think alike.

A pistol-only intern scrim? Sounds like fun, but it'll last a long time. And by long time, I mean a loooonnnnggg tiiimmmmeee! Pistol duels are a lot of fun, but they ain't quick.

Yeah, if we make it ten or eleven am central time for the USA, I think more guys would turn out.

I love the idea of an internal with mod maps. Also, back when I was hanging with the SES guys, we'd have all sniper scrims, too. I personally didn't care for it much, cuz I'm a lousy sniper, but the other guys loved it. There are mod maps perfect for sniping duels. There are also mod maps that would be great for pistol and shottie duels, too.

So it's set up: Saturday 12 at 10 am (GMT -6)
Game will be set up to: 20 kilis or 15 min.
The only thing that we haven't discuss is: DM or TDM?

Both are fun. I personally like DM a little more, but what would the guys like? I suspect TD might be best. I'll leave the choice to you and the other guys.
