OOC: Actually, this was going to go in the Clan RP thingy, but it was rather long. So, as I was about to completely redo it, I thought, "Hey! Why don't I just post this as a story instead? That way none of the time I took to make it goes to waist!" So... Yeah...

*Flash-back*

It was awhile ago, close to the start of the war. I had just lost my squad, my entire squad, on a mission. It was my mistake. My horrible, horrible mistake... The mission was to escort a senator. The rendezvous point was some depot in the industrial sector. I don't know why it was there, but it was. The mission had gone off without a hitch. We had secured the depot and the general area, and we were just waiting for the senator to arrive. About an hour after we secured the depot, the senators main guard gave us a 5 minute E.T.A. I was assigned to guard the front door, with a few others. I saw it. I saw the rocket launcher. I saw the fuel tank he was aiming at. But, I wasn't fast enough to do anything. I- I started running. Running like a blasted coward. I didn't even think to warn the men standing with me. Seconds later, I felt an intense heat behind me, and I was sent flying through the air. When I woke up, my head was hurting. My ears were ringing worse then I'd ever felt. I looked around, too groggy to really tell where I was. When I finally managed to stand, I saw the senators transport in the distance. Apparently, they had been shot down as well. After searching most of the transport for survivors, I finally found the senator. Somehow, when his entire security force had been killed by the impact, he managed to survive. I guess it was because of his choice of position. I don't know. But, I somehow managed to get him to the residential sector, where another group of guards took care of him.

I never really got over it all. But, I still had my duty to the Republic to consider, so I didn't complain when they transferred me to another battalion. It was the first time I was actually apart of a group that had something to do with the war. It's name was L.O.S.T. Kinda pathetic, but it made sense. Last Operational Seeker Team. Basically, when no other groups were available, we were sent out. Most missions were apparently search and destroy missions. Find the target, and then end them. It wasn't exactly a permanent group, the troops in it were usually sent out on missions with other groups. It was commanded by Major Kaal Valorum, and his second was Captain Jad. That was one of the unusual things about the battalion. The Major wasn't a clone. The other thing that was unusual was that he was a Valorum, and Valorums don't usually have military involvement. I couldn't complain though, as he was obviously good at his job. I was also reunited with two old friends, one being Jurg, and the other was nicknamed Bell, because he had some weird fixation with ringing bells. He and I were a lot alike. We both had similar ways of fighting. And, we always seemed to know what the other was thinking, or was going to say. Oh, and we also both loved Vibro-blades, something that seriously freaked Jurg out.

Anyways, our first assignment was to the moon of Kohlma. Apparently all the other groups were busy, so we got picked. Some group of smugglers or something decided to ambush a Republic medical convoy, and then, for a reason that I doubt anybody would be able to figure out, decided to set up shop on the blasted moon. So, it was our job to go there, kill everything that could possibly be a potential hostile, and leave. Simple enough. After preparing, going through some initial planning, stuff like that, we finally took off. As we exited hyperspace over the moon, the Major rounded us all up into the hangar of the Acclamator-class ship. In the briefing, we were informed by intelligence that there were two bases the pirates (that we assumed them to be) had set up. In order to simultaneously take out both bases, as well as secure our evacuation from the planet, the Major split us up into three groups. Group A would be led by Captain Jad, and it would attack the first base, situated in a valley nearby a temple. Group C would be led by Major Kaal, and it would be securing the LZ. He picked himself to lead that group so that he could have an overall idea of the general situation, and issue orders as need be. Group B would, oddly, be led by myself. I didn't know why, and it seemed a stupid decision to me, but orders were orders. We would be assaulting the base that was within the temple itself. The LZ was a mountaintop which was situated not far from either base, but far enough to avoid detection. The storm that had generated would likely cover our position from anyone who decided to look in our direction.

Three gunships left the hangar, each with one group inside. After landing at the LZ, Group A and my group made our way to our objectives. Close to the temple, there was a split in the road. One way led down into the valley, while the other went up towards the temple. The Captain took his group down into the valley, and I took mine up to the temple. There was no radio contact unless the Major asked for a report, or he had something to update us on. After a few short minutes, my group made it to the entrance of the massive temple. It was truly massive, the sides being at least a mile apart, and the top not being seen through the thunderclouds above. Something was very odd, however. The temple was confirmed as being one of the bases, but there were no guards at the front. I figured it could be a trap, but I couldn't really tell. Before entering, I did a head count. 75 total were under my command, including Jurg. Bell was with Group C, helping secure the LZ. I ordered 10 to stay at the door, and the rest of the group breached the entrance. It was very dark on the inside, so we all turned our night-vision on. There was no movement to be seen. As we moved forward, the main hall suddenly split in three directions. I sent Jurg and 24 guys to the left, and 20 to the right. I took the remaining 20 with me going down the main hall.

To be honest, I was very nervous in the situation. And I could tell the others were just as nervous. We walked down the hall for a few more minutes, when I ordered the group to pause. I had seen *something* move. I couldn't tell who, or what it was, but I saw it. I should have ordered a retreat right then, but I just ordered them to keep moving. I was such a fool, and I paid for it. We reached the main chamber, and what we saw startled me to no end. Bodies. Bodies were literally everywhere. Suddenly, I heard a scream come from the back of the group. I turned around quickly to see one of my guys being mauled by a group of... Well, I don't know what they were, really. We started shooting, and we took them down fairly quickly. But that wasn't the end. Hundreds of them just started pouring out of the holes in the walls and the ceiling. I knew we couldn't take them all out, so I did probably the smartest thing I ever did on that mission. I ordered an immediate retreat. We began running, running and shooting. There was just too many. Our numbers went down every second. I tried contacting the Major, but the signal wasn't getting through. I figured it was the temple interfering. I was down to five guys when we made it to the tunnel. Looking over, I saw Jurg and two others run out of the hall.

We managed to get out, but we were down to four now. The other two groups, the 20 that went down the right hall and the 10 I left at the entrance, were no where to be seen. Just me, Jurg, and two others. I tried contacting the Captain first to let him know what was going on, but all I heard was static. I looked over to the LZ, and I could see blaster fire. I then looked over to the Valley, and I could see flames engulfing the entire area. We managed to get back to the LZ, and I saw the Major was wounded. Bell was slicing a bunch of the monsters up, and he was actually enjoying himself as well. I saw one of the soldiers get ripped to shreds, before running over to the Major. He was wounded horribly, and it didn't look like he was going to make it. He said something, and it was barely audible, but I managed to hear it. He ordered us to retreat. I repeated it loudly for him, and I tried to pick him up before he pushed me away. He told me to leave him, that he wouldn't survive and he knew it. He was going to blow himself and as many of the blasted things up as he could in order to buy us some time. That's when things got even worse. The Major was killed, and Jurg was wounded in the shoulder. But not by one of the creatures. It was blaster fire. I couldn't believe my eyes. There was Bell, standing with his vibro-blade stuck through one mans chest and his handgun aimed at us.

He smirked, relieved his sword from the clones chest and fired another round at us before making a beeline to one of the transports. I managed to grab Jurg and pull him down under the blaster fire. The monsters were closing in on us, but all I did was stare at the gunship lifting off from the ground. Bell and I were a lot alike, indeed. He made an error as well. He didn't destroy the other gunships, and just took off into the atmosphere. There were only eleven men total who were remaining, and we all ran into the gunship as fast as we could, me carrying Jurg, who had been knocked out by the impact of the ground. I only barely knew how to pilot a gunship, so I took the controls and took off. I didn't want to risk the monsters knowing how to fly a ship, so I destroyed the remaining gunship. The Acclamator that we arrived in picked us up, and we headed home.

*End-flash-back*

The word is that I am the only one alive who knows about that mission. Jurg has amnesia, which he received upon hitting his head on the ground, and only remembers events during our training at Kamino. Everyone else has died during this bloody war. Bell was completely eliminated from all records, so he's not counted. Now I can hopefully fix that little error. Bell joined the CIS? That's fine with me. I don't know why, and I honestly don't care. There's only one thing that can change this. Me killing him, or him killing me.

"Now, how do I get out of this blasted cell?"

I love this Cuyir! It adds so much more flavor to your character. I am so interested in who you are now. Why were you picked as the leader? How much did Bell know before betraying you (Did he play a part in the ambush or did he just seize the opportunity)? How do you deal with the memory of losing your entire force, Jurg, etc?

Ugh, I am so enthralled right now!

Is this topic for more superfluous information? Things that help the story but are not necessary? Because I think it would be a lot of fun to discuss our characters more as people, rather than in an over-arching story.

Dang it, now you're making me wanna expand upon my character Cuyir! Razz Smile

Guess I'd better get to it... you mind if I post it in here? I don't want to clutter up the place with separate topics.

So, this is for individual stories from our characters memory?

I like it because there are no turns and people can just write when they feel like it. So people who wanted to do this, but couldn't find the time to have other people wait on them can do it!

This was an awesome idea Cuyir Very Happy

Fanfiction Character Story Empty Re: Fanfiction Character Story

Post by Denjie Thu Feb 02, 2012 11:35 am

Well, here's part of it:

No one knows much about me, and deep down, I like it that way. I didn’t use to have a name, I started out like every other RC did. I grew up with my brothers, our “squad” as our trainers put it. It didn’t make much difference to me though, they were my brothers either way. We trained just like all the other RC’s did. The biggest difference was we were usually either on top or in second when it came to squad contests or challenges.

The day came when we were officially done with our training, we were allowed to pick names for ourselves. My brothers then became Tam, Dax, and Jaren. I became Denjie. We were an interesting group to say the least, Dax was always read to destroy something, I think Jango Fett rubbed off on him to much. Tam was the complete opposite, we almost called him “tame” because of how gentle he wanted to be but we graced him and called him Tam. Jaren was a lot like me, cool, calm, direct and quiet. But the biggest difference between us was that I was even colder than him. If that was even possible. We were designated Zulu Squad.

We were at Gienosis when this whole bloody thing started. We had been on 12 successful missions before the day came that will haunt me for the rest of my life.

*Flash back*

We had just completely our 12 successful mission and were being looked upon as the toughest squad second to Delta. We were proud of this recognition. This mission was putting us on Danor, the planet had recently gone from neutral to ally. So the Republic wanted us to squad it out and make sure the CIS weren’t already trying to move in. We were to work with another squad, Kilo Squad. Danor was a mostly wooded area with a few cities on it. Now, with us in the drop ship, it was time to add another mission to our quota.

“ETA to DZ 2 minutes” Our pilot said. I nodded at him and turned to my brothers. “The ship is dropping us in, we jump off and had for target Bravo. Tam you’re with Jaren. Dax with me, we’ll RV outside the target and then make our way in. “ As they nodded Tam spoke up: “You mean I can’t annoy Dax right now? What fun is that??” Dax just looked at him. “No time for fun and games right now” I said.

We dropped in and started off. If I had known what was going to happen next, I’d have had Jaren and Dax stay with us and we go in together. But I was to fixed on the target. Dax and I had covered about 6 kilcks when I heard Jaren over the comm.
“Den! Droids are here! The CIS has already tried to move in! We need back up N—“ He broke off at the end and I heard a loud explosion and a scream. I went cold inside, turning to Dax I filled him in on what I think just happened. His body language told me he had gone cold too. We started running in the direction of Jaren and Tam. But we got there to late. When we got there, we saw Jaren.. Or what was left of him. Everything from the waist down was gone and we could see he was dead. Tam had had his head blown off. It was 10%.

I looked at Dax, “We’re completing the mission, Jaren and Tam WON’T die in vain.” Dax nodded and we set off. I should have just asked for the Drop Ship to come get us but I was too cold inside now. My anger and desperation were taking now. All logic was gone, I just wanted to kill now, and kill with pleasure.

We made it to the target, only to be ambushed and surrounded by droids. Dax and I reacted just like training, back to back with our rifles up and ready. As I scanned over the enemy, I heard Dax whisper to me
“It’s been a good run Den” I went completely cold inside. But what happened next would to this day make me shudder with emotion. Dax turned around, picked me up and threw me past the droids. I hit the ground rolling and turned around just to see red lights on Dax’s armor go solid. “Firfiek”. A bright light and loud explosion was the last time I saw him.

I managed to complete the mission on my own and was picked up to be debriefed and distress. The mission WAS a success, but at too great a cost. I had lost my brothers, and now I was alone.

I’ll have more up later. This is just the first part of my “history”. There’s two more parts. Smile Razz

Fanfiction Character Story Empty Re: Fanfiction Character Story

Post by Parker Thu Feb 02, 2012 8:18 pm

The Acclamator rocked me back and forth on my bunk as we got closer and closer to zero hour. The commanders told us to get some sleep beforehand, but that wasn't going to happen for me. I was staring at the ceiling of my bunk when a clone messenger opened the door and signaled me to leave. I look at the clock and see that we are -180 till Zero hour. Why do they wait till we have three hours left before giving my squad a mission? I get up and lean over to wake my 2iC, but the clone shakes his head. I pause for an instant, confused but I play it off and walk out of the room. It has always bugged me that my clone brothers are forced to sleep in massive terminals yet commandos get rooms, but when I look at my sleeping brothers and see how careless they look, I can't complain.

As my guide and I walk through corridor after corridor, I begin to get chills on the back of my neck. I know that tens of thousands of people are on this ship, but I only see a few messengers. Everyone else is preparing for our first real test of battle. There are no wives or children to think about before we land, just our brothers. Every clone is picturing their favorite brother and hoping that he makes it out okay. Not me, I have three.

We finally make it to a large conference room and, from the complete lack of markings or even a door handle, an important one. I survey the outside to find no markings or clues to the importance of the room, but there was also the sound-proof nature of the wall and door that told me its importance. When the messenger knocks on the door, it opens to reveal a large table with one empty chair and four filled by the butts of ranking officers.

I take a couple of steps forward and hear the door close behind me. I continue to move forward and take a seat in the chair. One officer, a human looked annoyed at my disregard to protocol while another officer, a clone commander from his markings, openly smiled. It was the latter that spoke first. "Hello Parker, do you know who I am?"

The human officer got less annoyed and more confused by this clone addressing me by my name. I must have looked a little surprised too because he added with a shrug, "I always make it my business to know who I am going to work with." I smile at this because he must have taken the time to ask one of my brothers about me, something that not many would have done. The other three obviously didn't.

"It is always nice to match a face to the name, 71," I say with a friendly air.He smiles knowing that I did my homework as well. But how could I not know who he was? His yellow stripes gave away his rank and his gruff voice and powerful demeanor told me he was in artillery. But I already knew who he was, his superiors love him for his precision and his men love him for his kind-hearted manner.

Clearly this interaction is too intimate for the human, who coughed and brought attention away from the genuine connection we felt. I think our "grand" army need more of people like 71. I find that most commanders throw away their men like pieces on a Pazaak board, and for that I have nothing but contempt.

"Do you know who I am?" I shake my head. The short Asian man has a flash of anger on his face. Great, I have an egotist here... "I am Jedi Master Echuu Shen-Jon. We have a mission for you, one that will require CRC-09/571's aid." Everyone in the room is looking at me, I don't even blink even though I am angry that he uses official titles, clearly this clone doesn't care about my brother and I. 71 doesn't even seem to notice this.

He continues. "We need you on an extraction mission. You and your team have been selected based on a strong recommendation," Shen looks at another man, who I seem to remember hanging around Kamino's training buildings, who nods his head solemnly. "Your primary mission is to extract the Republic Ambassador on Geonosis."

My anger gets the best of me, my team deserves better than a grab and bag mission! "We are babysitting a diplomat? Clearly my team has shown an aptitude for infiltration and assault during a close combat scenario. Considering how many caves are on this battle ground, not to mention Tango Squad's skill-"

The Jedi got madder and madder until I say my last sentence. The notion that he is mis-distributing his troops is too much for him and he stands up and opens his mouth to clearly scream at me. However, it is 71's voice I hear. His low and husky baritone sounds emotionless as he answers. "I understand your frustration with the situation, however Tango is already protecting a high ranking official. Your extraction takes you straight though a series of caverns, which is why we wanted your expertise. I hope that you will let us finish the Intel before you assume we are mismanaging you again."

By the time he is done I have sunk a little lower in my chair. I hate it when my anger and my tongue work together to undermine the reputation my squad has. I'm proud that I was recommended for this mission, I should have assumed they knew what they were doing. I apologized for my tongue.

I sat in a state of emotionless as I hear the rest of my mission. We would touch down at -30 Zero Hour, and we would have to make a cold, surpressed entry. We should make the pick up at -5 Zero Hour. We then have to cross an open battlefield in order to get into the caves. I am not pleased by this notion. As I raise my voice to protest, 71 assures me that he is diverting 30% of the SPHA-T artillery gunners he has to lay siege on my field. I know that there are only 100 in this battle, so he is being more than generous. Still, I protest and after much grumbling the Jedi finally also divert three LAAT/i ships to my care.

They are arriving at +10 Zero Hour and I get until +20 Zero Hour. I need five minutes to cross the field, so I have a five minute leeway. If I miss it then my squad will have to transport a high-priority target across an open warzone, something I won't do. From the caves we will travel across caverns underneath the battlefield to meet the 257th Star Corps. They are starting at the mouth of the caves and assaulting the fortified Geonosions from there. My squad will attack the group from the rear. I find the idea of assaulting a heavily fortified area stupid, regardless of how much firepower and surprise is on our side. The enemy are never nice to our plans. But I am overruled her. Clearly the commanders in this room, minus 71 who remains silent during my protest, think that they are getting two birds with one stone. They will rescue the Ambassador and clear a major artery that the GAR can use to gain footing on the battlefield.

After much more arguing, the commanders finally are convinced to send in two more commando squads with me, with the order that I remain in charge and accept all responsibility for the mission. This doesn't bother me, part of the Kamino training revolved around self-confidence. A leader that isn't sure of himself doesn't help anyone. They give me Aiwha-3 Squad and Gamma Squad. I am glad to work with these guys again, I particularly respect Jez and Stoker, in those squads respectively. They are good men. My squad will take point and be in the lead transport ship. The other two squads will be in the supporting ships and be waiting for our cargo.

My mind is racing through any scenario that might happen while I walk back to the bunk to wake up my squad mates. It is now -90 Zero Hour and Sierra Squad has to be ready to rumble.

We did! I am going to respond to that as soon as I can! Very Happy

So, just to keep everyone here informed... Denjie, Cuyir, and I will be writing on this page. However! We are going to go via PM first. Mostly we want to add a lot of cross overs between our stories and we want it to be good. So this page will be kind of empty, until one day you will get an entire missions worth of information.

I hope this is alright.

This whole thread was more intended to let each person expand upon his character, kinda like an extended/expanded bio. Which is what I did.

It's evolved into more of a chronology of the events that took place up to the current mission you're in. From Kamino and Geonosis on to where ever you went up to the current point. Basically a history of where you're characters been and what he's done.

Parker, Cuyir, and myself are running into each other on Geonosis currently.

You can write up how you started and where you went if you want. Don't have to, this is just a way for we to get to know each other's character(s) better.

Make sense?

I'm sorry Deviss, that is certainly not what I meant. The three of us are not trying to be exclusive. I, for one, want as many people to write about their character's history as possible.

As Denjie said, this is for our individual characters, not for a whole story using our characters.

In the future we can write about individual missions, missions with other clones, etc. Generally, solo missions work well. However, this is all about our character's memory. Denjie, Cuyir, and I just thought that it would help to have an intertwining experience on Geonosis.

I would be interested in writing with everyone but you, Deviss. Unfortunately, Cabra and Parker have never met before. So you and I can't write together until the main mission is over Razz
