honestly i just had to review this

well you can call me names all you want but this movie is AWESOME!
the movie is called rent more famously known as a musical and it breaks away from the standard action movies into something ALOT more meaningful.
this movie takes place in new york city with the main characters being
Mark Cohen- unemployed director wannabe who is working on a documentary on aids
Rodger (no idea what his last name is)- rockstar wannabe who trys to write one great song before he dies of aids
Mimi Markes- strip club dancer who likes rodger and also has aids
Tom Collins- unemployed man who got kicked out of M.I.T and has aids also
Angel Dumont Shunard- dragqueen who has a short time before he/she dies of aids
Maureen Johnson- bisexual kinda playboyish girl who used to date mark but is now dating johanne and does not have aids
Johanne Jefferson- lesbiean lawyer who does not have aids

so yeah this movie is about aids and overcoming hardships in a very deep way. i cant say much about the plot without spoiling the big surprises but the songs in it are very deep and need i say tear jerking? the only warning is there are MANY instances of male/male and femal/female instances in this movie so if you dont likey then dont watchy.
this movie definatly impacted me and opened my eyes to the world. if your in the mood to watch a meaningful movie this one is DEFINATLY on the top of my list. Very Happy

I love Rent. It is a pretty good movie but the Broadway musical is WAYYYY better. It is even more crude, funny, and thought provoking.

Also, if you liked the movie and you liked Idina Menzel (Maureen) Then DEFINITELY check out Wicked. It is an amazing musical by the guy who did Godspell. (It is in the Wizard of Oz universe).

yeah i saw wicked just this past winter and YEARS ago when idina and christin were still on it. it was sooo good! but its too bad they didnt make a movie out of it i would definatly buy it.
